Privacy

What we keep

• Your account: your school email address, your name, your school (taken from your email domain) and your graduation year.
• Your answers: the path you chose, when you plan to start, how much networking you have done, your weekly goal, and the experience you add or confirm.
• Your work inside the app: the people you add or import, your notes on them, drafted messages, call prep, practice and playbook progress.
• Your resume, if you choose Save private resume: the original PDF, its filename and the text read from it. Choosing a PDF for local review alone does not save it to your account. You choose which extracted details update your profile.
• Basic use of the service, such as which pages and tools are used, so we can fix what is broken and improve what helps.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
• We do not scrape LinkedIn or any other site. People in your network are the ones you type, paste or import yourself.
• Your people, notes, messages and saved resume are private to your account. Other students cannot see them.
• Nothing you enter is sent to an AI model today. If that changes, we will say so here and ask first.

Who handles it for us

We use a small number of service providers to run Avance: Supabase for the database, private resume storage and sign-in, Vercel for hosting, and Resend for email. They process data only to provide those services to us.

The people who run Avance can see account-level information and usage totals to support the service and fix problems.

People you add

The contacts you save are other people's information. Keep it to professional details you already have a reason to hold, like a name, a title, a company and what you talked about. Do not enter sensitive personal details about anyone.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account in Settings. That removes your saved resume files and extracted text, profile, people, notes, messages and progress and ends your login. Backups held by our providers may keep a copy for a short time before they expire.

Who this is for

Avance is for college students with a school email address. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If we change what we keep or who handles it, we will update this page and the date at the top.
